Check Out the Property
A great first step is to contact the county clerk by web or even call them! I actually suggest
giving them a call so that you can speak to a live person. Another reason for this is that
sometimes the online records take months to update, and we might have just acquired the
property.
Once you get the county recorder on the phone, ask the owners name, you will see it is listed under the
current owner or company. Before you call have the parcel number
handy, you will see this number listed on the property listing on our website.
Now the property is DONE and VERIFIED
If you would like more assurance, you can request a copy of the deed. This lets you see with
your own eyes who the previous and new owners are, and the dates of sale. Just ask the
county clerk for a copy and they can even provide you with a chain of titles if you’d like to see it.
We have an in-house team that does all that research for you, so you can be confident that the
title is clear. But it is an option for you to check out as well!!
